Miwary is the brainchild of Japanese seamstress Miwa Vicary.

Her background in fashion design, styling and hair dressing has given her a weird and wonderful perspective on the power of imagination.

She remembers making Barbie doll's dresses as a little girl, dreaming of one day becoming a seamstress.

Whilst studying fashion art at Esmod Japon in Osaka, she started making and selling her handmade creations at craft markets and boutiques in Japan.

Miwa came to London in 2002 to study at Central Saint Martins Art&Design collage.

During this time Miwa took part in London Fashion Week's off schedule and sold her creations in London's brick lane.

She became inspired by country side "shabby-chic" which combined with her love for the Japanese street style of Mori (forest) girl fashion resulted in the creation MIWARY.

Miwa is currently selling her items at craft markets around London, online and in boutiques.
